Businesses recognised at awards event The best of Wirral’s innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit has been recognised and celebrated when a number of companies received their accolades by becoming 2015 award winners at the Wirral Business Awards.
The annual business celebration, organised by Wirral Chamber of Commerce, was attended by over 630 leading business figures who applauded the nominees and eventual winners in each of the sixteen award categories as they were announced at a gala dinner event on Friday 18th September.  Main sponsors of the event for 2015 were Magenta Living, Park Group plc, and The Contact Company.

On Wirral’s biggest business night of the year, Paula Basnett, CEO, Wirral Chamber of Commerce, paid tribute to the quality demonstrated by the award winners, she said, “Year after year Wirral Business Awards has grown and has become one of the regions most important events in the business calendar. As it has developed our businesses have also grown and we can see through the awards the fantastic levels of enterprise and innovation we have in abundance within Wirral’s business community.
She added, “A business award is recognition that the hard work put in by our award winners does not go unrewarded.  Becoming a winner in each of the respective categories is a prestigious and well deserved achievement.  I am proud that Wirral Chamber of Commerce can play its part in this and I congratulate all of our 2015 award winners.”
Asif Hamid, Chair of Wirral Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the importance of the awards, he commented, “It is an absolute pleasure in organising this event to showcase the versatility of Wirral's businesses in all sectors from manufacturing to care. Wirral has a desire and drive to be a successful location and tonight’s event confirms that viewpoint. Wirral is full of talented business people and companies offering diversity through the goods and services used and sold around the world. Wirral Business Awards is a way in which Wirral Chamber of Commerce and our award sponsors can express our appreciation to our business community for their wholesome support in creating employment, investment and bringing economic prosperity to the borough.”
This year’s chosen charity was YMCA Wirral (YMCA Wirral helps to build positive futures and overcome barriers for people of all ages. It makes a difference to people’s lives and help people to move on to brighter futures.)
