Woods Squared raises funds for local children Wirral based business, Woods Squared has been raising money for Claire House Children’s Hospice. The Birkenhead accountancy firm hosted their 8th annual BBQ and quiz which raised an incredible £3,080 for their local children’s hospice.

The event took place on the 18th August at Thornton Hall Hotel and was attended by the local business community who dug deep to smash their fundraising target!

The money raised will help support the work of Claire House Children’s Hospice, which provide care and respite for children and young people with life-shortening conditions as well as support for the entire family.

Claire House relies on fundraising to help provide the £2.9million it costs every year to offer first-class care to over 160 families from Wirral, Cheshire, North Wales, West Lancashire and the Isle of Man.

Corporate Fundraiser, Jessica Campbell said; “Woods Squared are wonderful supporters of Claire House, the team went above and beyond to raise vital funds the hospice and we cannot thank them enough. We’re so grateful to them for their support and would encourage others to follow their lead and support their local children’s hospice.”

Alan Woods, Director said; “We love being able to give back to the local community and it was great to this year smash our fundraising target for the awesome Claire House, we had a bit of fun with the theme this year with the Olympics and Bec from Funky Sunflower helped make the room amazing.  We don’t do this event on our own and without those that supported us by donating prizes or providing their services on the night for free it wouldn’t be the success that it was.”
