Progress to Excellence recognised as a UK top employer Back
The company has been named as a finalist in the Investors in People Awards 2017 in the category of Gold Employer of the Year with 50 to 249 Employees.
The Investors in People organisation identified Progress to Excellence as a finalist for one of its major awards after working with an experienced data analyst who studied the company’s IIP assessment when the business achieved its gold standard.
Damian Burdin, chief executive at Progress to Excellence Ltd, said: “Achieving the gold standard was an immense honour for us and now, to be recognised by Investors in People again, adds to the pride in our business and its staff.
“A successful business has to have the best interests of its employees at its heart and the ethos at Progress to Excellence is about encouraging staff to develop their careers and make the most of their talents.
“This way, we are able to key people within the business and ensure that excellent standards are delivered.”
To obtain the gold award, Progress to Excellence had to prove how the company uses its people strategies to achieve outstanding standards and deliver excellence in teaching and learning. The rigorous assessment involved staff interviews with issues raised including personal development, their contribution to the business and corporate social responsibility.
At the time, Investors in People assessor Joanne Hamilton said Progress to Excellence put the learner at the centre of everything with the emphasis on striving for excellence.
She added: “There is also a strong culture of effective employee engagement where people are increasingly being empowered to take ownership within their roles, take responsibility for key tasks, make decisions that impact on performance and are encouraged to make the most of their talents.”
Winners of the Investors in People Awards 2017 will be announced on November 23 in a ceremony at Old Billingsgate, London.
