Magenta Living tenant wins a Housing Heroes Award Back
Magenta Living tenant Natasha Loraine from Bidston has won a Housing Heroes Award at a national ceremony organised by Inside Housing magazine and the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Natasha won ‘Inspirational Tenant of the Year’ after Magenta Living submitted her life changing story to the Housing Heroes Awards panel earlier this year.
Aged just 26, Natasha has turned her troubled past into a positive, by dedicating a significant amount of her time to helping others within her community.
Natasha, a single mum of two, has transformed her previous behaviour in her neighbourhood to now running numerous children’s clubs. Natasha volunteers at the Bidston Rise Community House for up to 10 hours every week, delivering arts, crafts and fun activities for children aged 0-10 years old.
Magenta Living was also shortlisted for ‘Development Team of the Year’ and although they didn’t come out on top, the Tenancy Enforcement team who put Natasha forward for ‘Inspirational Tenant’ are extremely proud of her.
Chief Executive of Magenta Living, Brian Simpson, said: “We are delighted that our work with Natasha has been crowned with this award. I am enormously proud of our team that works so hard to support our tenants and Natasha’s success is both a credit to her and to the team.”
